As soon as winter season starts approaching, we see people wearing woolen sweaters, jackets and coats everywhere. I always love this season because I can wear different jackets comfortably. So basically, it’s my love for jackets. I have a collection of jackets such as letterman jacket, leather jacket and woolen coats. My letterman jacket has chenille letters with my initials on it. I have personalized it with some of my own designs. Though I have so many accessories with me, one thing I need to follow is that maintaining the clothes. Here is a small guide on how to take care of your woolen jackets.

After you take the time to find the perfect wool winter coat or jacket, you want it be as good next year as it is now. There are a few things to remember to keep your new coat in tip top shape. First of all, when you are not wearing it keep it hung on a quality hanger that will not leave marks in the shoulders. Don't bother with wire hangers when hanging a heavier jacket, such as one made from wool. A standard wire hanger will just leave creases in the sleeves from the weight of the garment. Look at the care label to see if it really needs to be dry cleaned or can be washed in lukewarm water with mild soap. Often it can be spot cleaned or brushed instead.

You can use tap water that is luke warm to spot clean it and then use a lint brush after it dries to remove particles or pet hair. To protect it from insect damage, always store it in a garment bag or box, or heavy plastic bag at the end of the season. Wash it or dry clean it before storing it, so it won't retain odors from smoke or the outside environment. Clothing items will pick up smoke and other scents from the outside air or inside events too. If you do end up with pet odors on a jacket, mention it to the dry cleaning people when you drop it off. If you can actually wash the coat, use warm water with dish soap and just squeeze the suds through it a couple of times. Rinse with warm water until the soap is rinsed out and add a cup of vinegar to the final rinse water to totally eliminate the pet odor.

Just like the woolen jackets, letterman jackets also require certain level of maintenance. If you are wondering where can I get letterman jackets, then here’s a piece of information for you. If you search online, you will get hundreds of variety. However, don’t forget to maintain them.
